We are located in a very nice neighborhood - the safest neighborhood in town. It is very convenient to Salt Lake City's major attractions and to all the ski resorts (45 min). We are located only five regular blocks east of the Mormon Temple Square, which is considered the center of the city and only five minutes walking distance away from a true supermarket. A public bus stop (heading downtown) is close by (50 meters).
The hostel is year-round open with bunkbeds and regular mattresses. Family or private rooms with shared or private baths and cable TV are available. Enjoy budget accommodations in a unique and home-like atmosphere in one of Salt Lake City's finest residential neighborhoods.

Price: Dormitory $14-$17/night. Private rooms $25-$45/night. Private rooms with shared bathrooms are $31/night two people. Private rooms with private bathrooms are $36/night for two people (all prices plus tax).

Reservations: Are recommended especially for winter and summer seasons. Reservations can be made with credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or money order. A 50% non-refundable deposit is charged to confirm reservations.

Cancellation policy: There are no refunds for one-night and group reservation. Reservations for longer periods are eligible for 50% refund if notified 24 hours ahead.

Check In/Out: Office hours are daily from 7:30am to 12:30pm. Then from 4:00pm to 10:30pm. Check-in 24 hours with confirmed reservation or during office hours without (dormitory reservations need to check in before 10:30pm). Guests check out before 10:00am.

Blankets, pillows, cases, sheets, coffee, off-street parking, and coin laundry.

Features: No curfew, no chores, and no lockouts! Free lockers, air conditioned rooms, and guest pay-phone inside the hostel. Two complete kitchens and outside grill. Two living rooms, one with big screen tv. Lounge with fireplace and piano. The hostel has a computers with internet access for guest use. Ski packages (rentals & lift tickets) available!

Transportation: Free pick-up from downtown Amtrak and Greyhound as well as airport shuttle for $10 (call for availability in advance). Public local and ski bus stop nearby.

Activities: The hostel has easy and convenient access to all major attractions and activities. Professional basketball (Utah Jazz), baseball, and hockey all have teams in Salt Lake City. Outdoor ice skating at the Gallivan Center and indoor ice skating as well as indoor swimming and fitness at the Salt Lake Sports Complex during winter. Biking, climbing, and bouldering are three- to four-season activities. Two of the largest water parks in the west are an easy bus trip from the hostel.

Entertainment: Salt Lake City has many clubs that offer all types of music and environments. Hansen Planetarium has light and music shows daily.

The Family History Library adjacent to Temple Square is the largest and most complete collection of genealogical information in the world.

The hostel is located 28 miles (45 min.) from any of the ski areas in Big or Little Cottonwood canyons, Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, and Brighton. An easy bus or automobile trip. It is 31 miles to the Park City ski areas (no public bus service) and the winter sports park. Snowbasin and Powder Mountain are a one-hour drive. Hostel guests enjoy access to discount lift tickets, rentals, and equipment.
